On behalf of the London Humane Society, thank you to Johnson Sanitation for setting up our “bathroom” for our 30th Annual Bark in the Park Festival. We would also like to thank you for cleaning the three bathrooms that are already on site at the Plunkett Estate free of charge.
The Festival took place on Sunday, June 1st. The weather was fantastic – bright, sunny, warm with just a light breeze. Thousands of people and pets came out to enjoy a day of fun activities for people and dogs at the beautiful Plunkett Estate. Dock diving, an off leash pond, trick shows, agility demonstrations, vendors and exhibitors were just a few of the exciting activities this year.
We are thrilled to report that over $$$$ was raised to support the over 2000 animals who come through our doors each year who are suffering from abuse, neglect and abandonment. All of our important work is completed through donations and our fundraising events as the shelter does receive any government funding. For this reason the success of our Bark in the Park Festival is vitally important.

Outstanding Service as Usual
In 1999 I built my own home and called upon Johnson’s Sanitation Services to install a portable toilet. The day that I called the portable was installed and in the 5 months that it sat at the site the service employee did a great job of servicing it and keeping it clean. I even had people coming in off the highway asking to use the toilet and to my surprise some repeat users. I don’t know, why unless they recognized the name plates on the toilet and knew things would be clean. This May 2013 I called upon Johnson’s Services to clean out my septic tank. The service truck arrived within an hour, and I was impressed to see the truck was clean and appeared new. The operator was a very personable guy and did a prompt clean job. When the truck left there was no mess, unlike the previous company I had hired, who left leaking compressor oil and sewage in my laneway. On the Johnson’s internet site they quote “You may find a cheaper price but you won’t find a better service!” They were certainly a better service and the price was the same as the area competitors.

I want to comment on the outstanding job your service personnel performed last week at this event. It was announced that over 20,000 people attended over the three days. The visual condition of the portable units were spotless! It is clear to me that your employees have a clear understanding of your company’s mandate and definitely have pride in their work. Keeping up with the demands that such a large volume of people require must have been a daunting task, but your personnel have exceeded my expectations. I thank you and your staff for providing a positive experience for us at the event.
